Spacers with stock 19" wheels
Hi everyone,
I've searched extensibly about this topic but have not been able to get a clear answer, so here it goes. My first child was born a couple of weeks ago and I decided to trade my beloved E63 6er for a 535i with the Sport package and 19" wheels running 245's in the front and 275's in the rear. In order to get closer to the sportier look and feel of the 6er, I ordered a set of AC Schnitzer springs that will be installed next week. Since I will keep the stock wheels until I make up my mind about which wheels to get, I want to get spacers to push the wheels closer to the edge of the fender line. With the staggered stock wheels, how wide a spacer can I use in the front and rear WITHOUT causing ANY rubbing at all? Keep in mind, I did not buy the X Drive model. Thanks so much, I appreciate your help. jo

I am curious too, as Dinan does not have 535 springs yet, only 550. And these stock springs HAVE to go.

I installed the Turner 12.5mm spacers in the back (M-Sport) and it looks PERFECT. The wheels align 100% straight with the edge of the fender. Very subtle but nice look.
I did not use any in the front.

Sorry to hijack, but will the installation of lowering springs affect my warranty at all? Any negatives to ride quality on a 535? I definitely want to lower my car too but just worried about these couple issues...

Where did you get your spacers? The Turner website does not list any specifically for the F10...

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-55...m-x6-pair.aspx However, like Alex said, he went with Turner Motorsport's own brand, 12.5mm ones that for some reason don't specifically list the F10 fitment, but should: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-12...cers-pair.aspx These are the wheel bolts that go with them: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-44...-mini-r56.aspx Alex's car looks great with them, and I keep thinking about adding them, but I just had 3 wheels with Road Rash repaired, and I am afraid to push my wheels out at all now.

I also wanted to put H&R Sport Springs on her and possibly a front lip, but now I am afraid after dropping it an 1-1/4", my wife or I will rip the M-Sport front Bumper off. Many times I have parked it, got out and glanced back at the front, and it has been resting over a curb with what looks like a mere 1/4" of clearance. I'm just not good at judging where the front end, ends.

I have a few guys running 15mm in the front with no rubbing issues. For the rears the largest any of my customers has gone is 12.5mm and he reports the same awesome fitment as alex. HERE is a link to our 15mm spacers, HERE is a link to our 12.5mm spacers for the F10. These spacer kits also include the necessary extended lug bolts. In case you'd like another size, HERE is our selection of spacers for the F10 535i.

They are not notched. We have not had complaints which would lead us to redesign the spacers to add a notch for removal.

These look great, and the price is right; however, the black color may be an issue. The inside of the 19" sport wheels and the hub has a nice aluminum finish. A black spacer would be very evident when looking at the wheel. Any possibility to get this in an aluminum finish, like the others. Anyone else here added wheels spacers? I agree that a properly spaced wheel gives the vehicle a very athletic look.

I have only seen a couple of posts from members that have used wheel spacers.
Has anyone used a spacer besides Turner. Also, has anyone else used a spacer on their front wheels of their F10? I have seen one member use 12.5mm all around. I am leaning towards a 12mm on the front and 15mm on the rear. I may use Burger spacers as they are on sale for $99.

I just added ECS Tuning 12.5 spacers to the rear of my F10. They are on sale for $84.96 with the extended lug nuts. I have never used spacers before and I am not an expert or even knowledgeable, but these things look great. I installed them and like the look. It brings the wheel out far enough to look correct. That said, I believe that this mod is only for those that set up a lawn chair and admire the car.... like me. I am guessing I will be one of the few that will be able to pick out the difference. The only suggestion for ECS is they should include black lug nuts instead of silver ones. I installed the silver ones and they stood out and not in a good way. It was not a major deal as I painted all ten of them with some black spray paint I had on hand.

Chuck those spacers really change the demeanor of your cars rear end! They look great! As for the bolts, we had a ton of guys preferring the silver in the future I'm going to have my guys switch things over to the black bolts we just had become avaible to us. If the paint doesn't hold up well (it should hold up as long as you're careful not to chip it when installing the lugs), you can always grab some caps for the bolts heads (LINK)

I meant to address this in my post, but forgot. This was not an issue. You would have to look very hard to see the spacer. I'll add a photo to this post later.
