My new mufflers

I have posted an exhaust sound video before, when I removed all 4 resonators and did a step up x-pipe...well since then, I had been working with a muffler manufactor to make me prototype mufflers, here is the finished product:



I will be uploaded a revving video later

PS: I may end up having these manufactured, or I may not...I need to do a more in-depth cost analysis to determine if it would be a profitable product to sell.

MACHO SOUND, It sounds healthy and powerful, I like.

Sounds awesome. Give us more video plz.

Here is a revving video I filmed real quick; these videos were filmed with phones and I don't feel they capture the true sound and powerful feel of the exhaust but I think they give a pretty good idea.

Best sound I've heard thus far from any 6ixer.

Is it just me or does the sound cut out 8 seconds into the second vid?

I have a litle question...how can i connect a 2.25 pipe to another 2.25 pipe? I want to know to connect the x pipe....or its better connect a 2.25 to a 2.50?.... Im confused...

It's not problem for a muffler shop. The most likely route would be a sleeve over the two pipes then weld that. You can also butt weld two identical pipes together but it's not as strong and takes some skill.

Thank you again yorgi. im thinking a bout buy a x pipe kit from summit sum-642122 and install myself.. what do you think about it? ITs better a 2.25 or 2.50 for better air flow?

Like I said they were just recorded using phones.

Anyone feel that they would want to buy this exhaust?

I'm not making any sales, to avoid forum penalty I want to make that perfectly clear, just gauging other 6er enthusiast interest, in this exhaust setup, and as I stated earlier not 100% sure if I'll end uo having them produced, just curious to hear thoughts and opinions.

What are mufflers and x-pipes worth to you personally?

And would your interest be in the laddered x-pipe(pre-fabbed that increases in size in the middle the back down on exit to increase flow and performance) and mufflers? Or just the mufflers?

i just bought muffler (i thought it was magnaflow but it wasn't it's call magaflow muffler) after i install i will post video

Do you feel a lot of difference of sound and power with the xpipe? Im thinking about go on xpipe..... its very expensive? Difficult installing?... Thanks...

i bought cherry bomb x-pipe from summit cost me about $35.95 instaling cost $30
sound good and very fast

i went to muffler shop on weekends and i found out that i need smaller muffler and offset/center muffler to instal dual tip

Now THAT is what I am talking about! I had spoken with my local muffler shop before and they wanted $200 to fabricate an x-pipe for me. It really wasn't worth my time at that point. I love the other threads that swear by the improvement in exhaust note.

Which one did you buy? I see a 2.5" universal on Summit's website, part# 429835.

My local Muffler shop wants $89 to install, one hour of labor. How did you get a $30 install price?

What a good price for xpipe and for installing it!!!!!! What web page i have to look for? how it is called xpipe for bmw 645? Or universal xpipe?? Thanks....

no not very expensive
my x-pipe cost me about $45 and $30 install cost so $75
and not difficult installing

if your in los angeles area i can tell you my muffler shop

I can't sell them yet, but if I had to assume a fair price I would probably do $60 + shipping.
