New at this

I am interested in purchasing a 1980-1983 BMW 320i.
I live in Kingwood/Houston Tx., so as a first time buyer I am looking for some guidance.

You should be able to purchase one of these cars in good condition for about 1K. I would suggest buying a 323i or a 320/6 instead of the regular 320 4 cylinder cars.

They come up on craigs list often. The main thing you want is no rust. If the car has spent the majority of its life in TX, rust shouldn't be a problem. There are enough "no rust" e21's around so don't settle for a rust bucket.
