Misfiring of Cylinder No. 6
Hello guys
I have a strange problem with my M5 - where it recently giving me an reduced power message where the RPM redline goes all the way into the 4.5 & the car losses power big time and start rattling. My problem it sometime it does this and sometimes it works fine, but mostly of the time it is giving me a reduced power message. On the computer it showing misfiring on cylinder 6 -- all the time, when the reduce engine appear misfiring on cylinder 6 error comes up on the computer. I replaced the plugs, and change the coils, cleaned and changed couple of the injectors but the same problems is still happening Any advise Sam |

Ionic control sensor is your problem! I has the same issue with my e60 m5 and did everything you did until i found out about the ionic control sensor. There are two, swap out the left bank to the right bank one and your error code will now read cylinder 10 misfire, if so you know for a fact the ionic control sensor has gone bad, hope this helps you and saves you some $!
