original tires

I currenlty have 13,000 miles on my 2009 z4 35i. Was wondering how many miles everyone got on the original tires before replacing them? I have bridgestone potenza's

10,000 on the rears and they were bald.

22,500 miles- still plenty of tread !

14.5k and the rears were bald.

After around 25K, the fronts were starting to wear, so I replaced all four with non-RFTs (Bridgestone S-04's).

About 22,000 km, but the rears were almost down to the legal limit and were getting really "entertaining" in the wet, replaced them with a new set of 313 wheels and am pushing 20,000 km on these, and they appear to have at least another 10-15,000 left in them. Very sensitive to tire pressures.

20k rears were at their limit, fronts were OK but put all new tires on.

At 25,000 the fronts were just about worn. The rears still had another 5,000 on them, but rather than replace the fronts with the OEM Runflats, I got 4 new Michelin Pilot Super Sport NON Runflats.

The car handles much better now.

Almost 20K and the treads are fine.

I must be driving like a baby, very 36K and still good.

what can be done when the rear tires are wearing on the inside?

All BMWs have inside wear due to the camber of the wheels. You can reduce the camber to even out the wear, but then you will affect your cornering ability.

A good alignment shop will be able to adjust the camber, to dial out some of the inner wear, but still keep everything within the alignment specs for the e89. You will need to stress that it is the e89, not the old e85 specs they have.

I had 19,000 miles, the rears were down just about flush with the wear indicator but the front probably had another 5,000 miles. I replaced them with Michilen Pilot Sport 2 ZP and I'm very happy with them, they are much better than the Original Bridgestones.

How can you tell when they are worn, how many mms left in the OEM tires? Thx.

All treads have wear bars that run perpendicularly to the tread. when the tread gets worn down so that it's even with the wear bars, you're done.

BMW recommend changing at 3mm.......

It all depends on how you drive. I have heard anywhere from 10k to almost 30k. N4S

If your tires are lasting 30K on this car, I think you could be enjoying the car much more.

I replaced the rears at 17k, fronts at 25k.
