DIY Ram Air Scoop

I spent two days and around $65 to finish my custom scoop (made by aluminum sheet). Which is bigger than RPI and I think is better than the RPI one.

Check the bottom right corner, mine design is trying to make the air won't rebound back. I hope my theory is correct. LOL






aluminum sheet: $25 at lowes
aluminum primer + red spray paint $15 home depot
aluminum sheet cutter or scissor $15
screws around $5-10

O...and I made the block off plate too but I forgot to take some photo of it. And anyone know if the E63 M6 need two block off plate? Because I find out the passenger side air box have that hole too.

So are you going to start mass producing these?

Those look a thousand times better than the RPI ones. My passenger side RPI one wouldn't stay attached so I removed it, and the driver side one was rattling. Congrats on a great DIY mod!

Can you PM or post the plans? I'd love to replace the RPI driver side and re-add the passenger side :-)
