Ive got an '88 535is and I want to install new speakers into it. I already have aftermarket ones in but would like to upgrade. I did not previously install them so I do not know the speaker sizes. If anyone knows the sizes of the speakers and maybe some advice on what to purchase to upgrade the sound, that would be very helpful.
Thanks! |

You can look up the original sizes on RealOEM.com or go to Mye28.com and search their forum; lots of info about aftermarket sound systems there.

it has been a while but I looked and I did not find much. I just want to know, said flat out, what the speaker sizes are. If anyone can just tell me flat out that would be great. Everywhere else is confusing to read and figure out. And if anybody has any suggestions as what to get, that would be very helpful... Also, not related, but is there a link anywhere that I can find out how to install angel eyes on the e28? I haven't purchased them yet but i definitely want to. Any comments welcome. Please give as many suggestions as possible.
Thanks!

Measure the hole pattern of the mounting screws and draw a simple plan. Go to your local audio shop and see what they have that fits. My E30 is 140mm on the diagnal, with a 4" cone. Found speakers with 5" cone and co-axial tweeter that was a drop in fit.
