850Ci 6-speed Totaled by Suburban - Looking for Comparables
Yes, totaled by a Suburban running a red light. It is (was) in excellent running and cosmmetic condition, and apparently one of 35 manual transmission models shipped to US in that year. 114k miles.
Insurance company is offering $15,700. They agree that is is in excellent condition and are counting it as in the 99 Percentile. I have never seen another 93 850Ci 6-speed for sale, but I am trying to make the case that its resale value was ~$20k due to the transmission. Anybody got comparable sales for me? You will get more answers in Bimmerforums 8 series forum. There are only a few of us 8 owners that watch this forum.
IIRC there were only 35 US 93 850 six speeds sold so there is a rarity factor involved here as well.
