M106 also "M30B34MAE"
I would like more info on this thinking of buying a 84 745i an would like to know if its carb or fuel injection an how hard parts are to find for it

7 is the series; 45 the engine size (4.5ltr); the 'i' stands for 'injected' or 'injection' and the L (if applicable) indicates Long wheelsbase (extra 4" in rear doors). Parts are easy although some are expensive compared with domestic products. OEM is very high quality though.

actually its a 3.5 turbo calling it a 45
m102 motor to be exact bottom end of a bmw m1 7.5:1 compression ready for 15 to 18 pounds of boost comes with a kkk turbo it is fuel injected L-jetronic if im not mistaken i have a couple of these motors one with a modified turbonetics turbo 20 psi spools at 2200rpm most of em come auto pm me for more info on these motors |
