Rims for 2012 z4 3.5i

I am thinking about upgrading the standard rims. Currently have standard 17s. What is the advantage of 19s over 18s? Can annyone recommend any rims. I have a alpine white z4 with coral red interior. I am think about going to a black rim. Any suggestions?

I would go to Tire Rack, plug in your car and see the different styles and colors. Speaking from my stand point only, I have 18' because I prefer a little more sidewall and also the cost factor.

Hi ! 19" rims make for a firmer ride especially with runflats, take the runflats off and it transforms the ride. The 19" give what I feel is tighter handling, as I have driven one with 18" rims and hate to say it ! but it felt like the rubber was flopping around corners, you know that feeling as you go left to right on a bend!!!! Some may say the lack of rubber with 19" is to harsh as I know many with 18" rims prefer the softer feel!!!! Opinions will be quite diverse on this subject!!!

19" wheels really look best and is the more popular choice. I'd recommend that you check out the VMR V710 wheels. They feature a classic mesh design that looks good on just about any car you put them on!



Here are a couple pictures of the Hyper Silver finish installed on a Z4 which will give you a good idea on how this is going to look.

I just put my snow tires on (17" wheels) and I cannot believe how "different" they feel compared to my normal summer tires (18"). In New England it would be risky to go with 19" wheels - but I am missing my 18"s... and its only been 1 day... well it was a long day - 225 miles.

If you are in PA you may want to keep your 17s for snow tires and go with 18s for the summer.
