OSV replacement issue
Tried changing my osv and when removing the back plate I noticed the tube had been loose. The grommit stayed in the tube and when I took it off, it spun around easily where it was supposed to go and the rubber gasket on the OSV had 2 tears.
Problem is while trying to get the tube connected back to the front of the intake, i can see a pool of oil in the intake, from the mirror.
So now i am removing the intake and will have to get the other intake manifold gaskets. This way i can clean this intake completely.
What a pain. My point is some people will just pry off the OSV from the back and change it. What i know ia that these seals and grommits are rubber and with the hot and cold constant on them they do lose their properties of sealing and you will be back in there before long. This might be why the OSV is not sold separately.
