Suspension question
I replaced my control arms, bushings and links with Meyle about 1k miles ago. I've noticed recently that going over small bumps at low speeds the steering wheel moves to the right or left depending on the bump. It just doesn't feel right - no sounds - just a movement of the steering wheel.
Any ideas? |

No I didn't - but planned to - the steering wheel isn't completely centered. But this issue didn't start until recently- a few months after the replacement.

Ask the shop if they cornerweight the car during the alignment.

it could be the steering flex coupling.

They can only do that if the car has coil overs.

Dealership called - the back tire was out of alignment - they also told me that the control arms were not "seated" properly - but it wasn't a huge deal?? As I mentioned, I had my indy replace the arms, bushings and links. What does that mean - not seated properly??

I wonder if he meant the CAB housings weren't properly seated into the locator dowels on the frame. Only thing I can think of, if that were the case it is an easy fix. But says nothing good about the quality of your indy.

So what do you think - take it back to my Indy and explain what the dealer said?
So I drove the car home - alignment feels good - but the steering wheel is still off center - what is the deal? |

If steering wheel is still off center, then it means they didn't do quality job.
Mine is bit off also, mate gave bit discount of that alignment and i'll be back to redo it anyway because we found out that some rear bushings aren't too good anymore either, but it's ok to roll for some while now. |
