6 Series
The BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations. |

I would go for a 2010 model. Or the 2012 F13 if you have the $.
Price would be in the mid 40s and up, which is still about half of the new car price.

Thanks! What about the engine issues, are they the same from 2006 - 2010? What about if I only have money for 2007 -2009?

Go for an 08+. '09 is slightly better, but they all have the same engine since 2006.
Ken - get out of here!

2010 was the last model year for the E63, which used the N62B48 engine. The next model after that is the current F12 which uses a twinturbo V8, the N63.
