New VW GTI: 217 hp, LSD, 200 lbs lighter, 25/36 mpg
Sounds really impressive. Let's hope the electric variable steering is decent.

The Sport pack is 13 secs quicker around the ring! If they keep it under 30k, I might go back to VW after all.

my experience has been just the opposite.
dealer has been great so far with our 2012 VW GTI, better than BMW. (Suburban VW in Farmington Hills, MI versus Erhard BMW across the street).
