blown head gasket?

Current mechanic found a miss in two cylinders, lowered compression in them as well. Feels a head gasket is blown. Looking for a general second opinion from someone out there. 1988 series three 197 K mileage, uses NO oil, ran fine when I took her in for a throw out bearing and clutch pack......

you took a car in to change the clutch and he did a compression test ?

why was he touching the motor to do a compression test in the first place ?

Appreciate the quick replies. Check ride by the mechanic revealed the 2 cylinder miss. I heard it from the garage bay when they started the car to bring to me.... the subsequent compression check revealed low readings on cylinders x 2. I will know more details on Tuesday. Not my primary ride but could be if we can get her running well. I have wanted a BMW for several years and this has been the perfect fit so far.

Thumbs down Damaging vehicle in workshop

If somebody brings a car in good running condition into a local workshop, so that they fix his clutch
& it comes back with a miss that is clearly audible..
I suppose some mechanic will be wearing a shiner for a few days
