Too much coolant?

1998 Z3 2.8l

I'm having a bit of a strange issue. I just rebuilt the entire cooling system.

When I fill it with coolant, up to the bleed hole with car on and heater on, there's too much coolant in the expansion tank when it cools.

It's about 2 inches over the "cold" line when I check it the next morning.

If it is not overheating and the level is staying consistent, either leave it there or draw enough coolant out of the jug to put the level on the mark. Will not hurt anything to have a little over full. As long as you know where the level is, you can keep an eye open for coolant loss.
