Hi All,
My car/baby is currently at my local dealership having the Bluetooth worked on. My service writer has messaged me saying that my iPhone 4s software may not be the best match for my 2009 328i. When I call people, they tell me I sound terrible, very staticky and in/out clarity. I, however, can hear the person on the other end perfectly fine. Have any of you had this issue with your iPhone/Bluetooth? Thanks

I have an iphone 4s with iOS6 and a 2011 328 ix - no issues with clarity through bluetooth.

Thank you, Angie! I actually just did the IOS 6 update on my iphone, so maybe the new software upgrade will help. I think it could be a microphone issue...but what do I know?? lol!

We have this on our 2009 328i ...... dealer has not been helpful wanting to blame the phone but the iphone is on the recommended BMW list.
I think it has to do with the ambient noise level and the mike picking up background noise. The runflats were so loud on our car til we replaced recently .... phone sounds better now. You are not trying to talk with the top down are you? In any event a vert might be noisier or maybe your runflats too?

Thank you, Laser!
I've tried every scenario when using the speakerphone. (sitting still, Interstate, slower speed). I haven't had the top down when trying to talk, I know that would be a disaster! lol! And its not necessarily that there's a lot of background noise, the caller tells me that I sound like reception is in and out, and staticky. I too don't feel like its my phone...I think its an internal problem with the microphone. I have a friend who has the same car and phone....no issues with her's. I'm determined to figure this out! Really appreciate your input!
