Loosing coolant.
I own a 2001 325i. It looses antifreeze frequently, basically adding a bit more every 2-3 days. I know there is a blue bleed screw under the car driver side close to radiator. Can this be a gasket issue or something else. Like fixing things my self just need tips. The leak seems to be close to that bleed screw...

Very probably your expansion tank.
Plan to replace it and maybe do a cooling system overhaul if due. Leak there can be hard to see. |

I would start by checking the upper radiator hoses for cracks. Then look for signs of coolant - when the coolant evaporates, it leaves a white residue.
The expansion tank is usually a prime suspect. I posted a similar thread a couple of days ago, in my case it turned out it was the expansion tank. Very sneaky little leak. Search for the thread if you want. |
