Air Quality - Smells like engine oil breather is connected to Interior Air Filter?!

Air Quality - Smells like engine oil breather is connected to Interior Air Filter?!

I tried different settings, Auto Recycle, Recycle, Off. No difference.

Long trips are unbearable. I constantly have to lower the windows to get fresh air inside.

Any ideas of what can cause this, others had issues with this before? Appreciate feedback.

Busted PCV line just might do it.

Have you tried taking it in for maintenance?

If you smell oil you are either burning it by leaking it on the headers or it is heating up from other areas. The valve covers on this model BMW will leak. I would suggest checking to see if that is the case if the PVC or CCV is not the issue...

are you running aftermarket air cooler?

Normaly this is the result of using a aftermarket air cooler and then leaving the PCV valve open instead of putting it into a catch can.

Also check your Oil filter housing see if you have any seepage
