Radiator
Well I started my project by replacing the alternator. Then I figured why not just go ahead and replace the water pump. Then why not the belts and hoses. Today I noticed corrosion on my radiator. So I am ordering that.
I am attaching some pics so chime in. What time or mileage is expected to replace radiator? It was not leaking but does have corrosion on the inside and outside. I can get a OEM BEHR model for $250 or a Nissens unit for $150. Any thoughts? Anyone ever use Nissens? Thanks.

What water pump did you get? BMW?
What alternator? Bosch? You will always pay more for OEM parts, but in the end you will know that they work.

I bought a GRAF water pump with the metal impeller versus the OEM plastic one. The alternator was a new not rebuilt Valeo unit which is exactly what was the original unit was. I leaning towards the BEHR radiator even though it is $100 more than the Nissens unit.

i replaced the radiator in my e38 at 85k....they (e38) had a tendency to crack near the neck, but i haven't heard any issues with the e65 radiator...that being said, you'll probably be fine either way. but for less than $100 difference i'd go Behr

No it is actually corroded on the sides.....hard to see from the pics. The corrosion is on the inside too.

I bought the Nissens unit. It states that it cools better than the BEHR and has the same warranty. We will see how it lasts.
