Unfortunately there is not much to be had out of the M54. Being a 5 series you probably don't want to do Exhaust mods(headers,) which is where you will pick the most up. Intake/tune will get you maybe 5whp. Not owning a five series I can't really comment on suspension mods. If you want a sporty look inside consider wrapping your trim pieces in 3M carbonfiber wrap looks great!

There is a supercharger from ESS for the E46 that can be modified to fit the E60.
Because you have the M54 hopes are there. N52 owners have nothing. Here's a video with results. Note the 530i DESPERATELY needs an exhaust. It's like trying to blow through a straw. Based on the runs it looks like it will easily pull on the stock 335 with the exhaust upgrade. Good Luck.

RPi exhaust, because I haven't heard any bad reviews from them.

I second that.. the RPI exhaust gives you a good sounds, there is a slight HP gain (not quite as much as a supercharger of course)
but the growl of that exhaust is just pure awesomeness ![]() http://www.bimmerzone.com/BMW_Perfor...RPI-EG109.html Do take a look Vincent
