I was replacing the spark plug wire set on my 88 528e. I bought Bosch wires. When replacing them I found a loop harness on the #6 wire, on the old set of wires, with a three prong plug on the other end. The new wire set has no such harness wire. Also, there is no way to clip the previous (old) wire to the new wire set, since there is no way to take it apart.
Anyone have suggestions if I need to have that on the #6 wire, or a way I could do it? I thought about cutting the new #6 wire, slip the harness over and splicing together the wire. I'm just not thrilled about modifying a new wire set. Thanks. |

Take the wire set back and exchange for the correct one. Their error, not yours. Or just use the old #6 wire.
