I have a 2001 325CI and when I fill my tank past 3/4 i get a fuel leak in rear right undercarriage. Any ideas???
I would also like to know how to get access to the neck of my gas tank, i have a feeling that is where my problem might be but i cant figure out how to get access |

Remove the bottom cushion of your back seat (just pull up hard) for access to the fuel pump....you`ll need a spanner or hammer & screwdriver to remove the lock ring. Be careful if there`s close to a full tank....have towels ready.

Bob, thanks for reply (I do volunteer for wounded warrior), but I need to get to the upper neck of the gas tank not the fuel pump. It only leaks when I fill up tank more than 3/4 so I dont think under the seat would get me there...right?

But if it leaks at 3/4 of a tank then it's not likely the neck. But the filler is right by the rear wheel so take the wheel and plastic shroud off?

OK good thought! Have any idea where I can find a picture or schematic of that area?
