Red service light, car on lift
Hello...I'm sure this was asked before but I am a first time owner to my car. What does it mean when the red service light appears and the pic shows a car on a lift?
I looked in the 'service-info' section to try to get a more detailed issue but again the only issue coming up is showing a car on a lift. I have a 2007 328xi with about 70,000 on it. Just had it in for a full inspection first week of September... Thank you!!! |

Thanks!! Is there directions how to reset in the manual?
I'm finding I have to take this car in to the shop a ton more than any of my other cars! Every month there's a light...i just don't get it..is this frequency for bmws normal? |

Go on YouTube and search how to reset the light for your specific model i.e. E90, it will give you a list on reseting most of your stuff; that's how I learned to do mine. Very simple process to do it, I would walk you through it but my model is an 06 e60.

It is unwise to ignore unusual warnings. However, this warning goes off at a predetermined interval. If your car is running fine, dont waste the time and money. If your brake warning light comes on, then take it in.

I wouldn't ignore any warning without first determing why it's being displayed. Doubly so if the warning is red.
