BMW 6NR Retrofit

When I picked up my car at the dealer yesterday the SA mentioned that he had heard rumours that BMW was coming out with a 6NR retrofit that would not require hardware upgrades! He had no other information but seemed sincere. I'd be interested in seeing what it is...if it turns out to be true.

That 6NR has been available in Europe for more than a year, and via aftermarket vendors since more than 2 years ago.

And you will need hardware upgrade in one way or another if you require Plug In/iPod Out, regardless.

And "6NR" would be code for........?
