How hard does your A/C blow?

I'm trying to figure out if I have a weak blower motor. I had a Mercedes before I bought my 7 and the a/c blew out like a hurricane on the max setting, this car is weak in comparison. How hard should the a/c blow?

Before you do anything, check cabin air filters...and the housing - maybe clogged up with dirt or debris

My filters are pretty dirty which could be one of the problems. They will be replaced soon

My battery is registered. And I also checked blower output through inpa. I'm leaning more towards a weak blower motor.

Did you every figure this out?
My blower runs very slowly too but every once in a while, it will blow you out of the seat for a while. There doesn't seem to be any rime or reason . Max AC does nothing unless the car is in the mood to make the blower spin fast which is only about 2% of the time.

+1...there must be something that limits the blower current draw because the same thing happened to me when I replaced the battery before it was registered.

It's along the lines of when the battery voltage is low on your car. Until the battery is charged its in a "reduced power mode" to conserve energy and thus the blower will only go to about half speed. Same with an unregistered battery

Not mine. It feels like half speed of any other car I get in.

My 2003 760Li is a bit picky, and I have even replaced the AC pump (for a different reason). In any case, I find that the A/C does not really bump into freezing my ears off, unless I get into the car and press MAX for awhile. Then I press Auto to get the climate control to try to regulate things and it's usually so cold I have to back the climate control temp way off.

I even have situations where it says 79* F outside, and I have climate control set to Auto and 75* and it's fricking just freezing my ears off. I keep bumping it to 76, then 77, then 78, etc, to get it to back off and not freeze me.

Many times I get into the car if it's hot as hell outside and I try to use climate control, only (I don;t use MAX). I figure it MUST know it;s hot and it should blast me. It almost never does. Even set it fairly low, like say 68*F if it's 100*F outside. It does almost nothing, I might even get slightly warm air out the ducts. Then I hit MAX and it freeze me to death again, as above.

I have come to accept it.
