New to the site and have an issue seeking advice. Got a transmission fault error on my 06 750i. Has anyone had this as well? What are and were the ramifications such as cost and parts needed. Please advise if you can.

Is the car safe to drive & any thoughts on part cost & labor?

Is the adaptor and the sealing sleeve considered the same thing?

Not 100% sure but it may be. The shop I took mine to said if they change and it does not take fluid I will need a new trans which sucks cause I only have 58K miles on my 06 750 and I thought this could not or should not happen to a German built car but will find out Wednesday.

Ok. So we can't just add fluid to the transmission when it's low?

i just had this happen to me , I though it was the sleeve as there was a service bulletin on it .... WRONG Then I thought is was the fluid that was low...... WRONG after I took it in the vehicle had tons of low voltage codes and the trans was not getting the right amount of current from the battery. Turns out My battery was going out, and if I would have never got that fault code i wouldnt have known. Battery replaced, issue resolved. OH same car also.

Now I'm told I need a new trans. Can not believe this **** car warranty just expired 4 weeks ago CPO bought it a year and one month to the day with 48K miles now has 58K and needs a trans. This is bull **** & I'm closing on a new house & wife never wanted me to get the car. Damn I'm screwed, was told to call BMW north America and ask for help SMDH
