Oil Leak
Hi Ppl
New member her, awesome stuff from what i saw so far. Perhaps someone can assist me also, it seems that i have a slight oil leak, i say slight, because there is no visable leak anywhere, not even on the garage floor, its just when i drive i can at time smell oil burning. the first time this happen, there was smke coming out of the engine compartment but that has stopped. Can it by the oil cap is leaking perhaps, it look fine to me though, and the self check show that the ol level is fine so i dont know. any advise? |

Chances are its not leaking but seeping oil. Most common place is the oil filter housing gasket. Look allong the head see if it has dirt down the head lip (behind the fan belt)

Also check valve cover gasket, right rear corner near firewall... It often leaks there, and oil drips down onto the header... Then when you fire it up in the morning, you Might get a burnt oil smell that then disapates.
