2013 X3 sub installed
Went ahead and installed a sub in my X3 today. I took all the wiring and amp from my E90 BSW SUB kit. I also reused the Sub in a new enclosure since I couldn't use the E90 enclosure for obvious reasons lol.
My X3 does have the Premium audio as well. I think with the addition of the sub it has fully completed my system and I am more than satisfied with her ![]() Took about an hr to install. |

Doesn't the premium audio already have two subs?

Yes they are under seat subs but they still aren't as powerful as a stand alone sub with a proper enclosure.

Wiring
Where/how did you connect the audio signals? Do you have a wiring diagram?

I took the Audio signal from the rear speakers. I looked at the color wires for the right and left rear speaker and then found the same wires coming out of the amp on the rear left qtr panel and I hooked them up there with wire crimps.

^ Wrong!! It worked but too its full potential. Technic advised me to use the the under seat sub wiring for my LOC wiring so I switched it up and WHOAHHHHHHHHHH Hugh difference. I am running a Rockfords P200.2 with a BSW Alusonic EX woofer in a Retail Scosche encosure. I actually also placed an order for a Alpine PDX-M6 to replace the P200.2 since I only need a mono amp and I plan on upgrading the woofer soon. I will be offering the P200.2 for sale soon for anyone who may be intrested.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For anybody who maybe interested in knowing, when you hook up an amp using a loc to the f25 with premium audio (2013 in my case), you must use the under seat sub wiring to hook up the LOC. The "EXTRA THICK" wires are easily located at the amp in the rear driver quarter panel. I will not be held responsible if you mess something up. This is only a FYI THANKS
