new 650 coupe lease

Havent been on the site in many years, but was lurking recently trying to figure out how best to go about procuring a new lease for a 2013 650 coupe. I currently am driving a 2010 650 vert that I leased after losing a beautiful 2009 coupe in a flood . (still hurts today). After that tragedy, I simply walked into the showroom and leased a 2010 with little to no knowledge on how the process works. I think I got gouged looking back on it, but you live and you learn.

So this is the deal i negotiated. I leased a 2013 orion silver/cinamon brown with exec pkg, drivers asst, 20 inch rims with an msrp of about 96k. negotiated that down to 91. got an additional 4250 of holiday cash + loyalty. Money factor they originally tried to pull over was .00175, I insisted on .00135 (lowest rate for best credit). Where they wouldn't budge was on the residual. According to them, base is 53% + 3% for 10k miles/year. I wanted to 58%, but according to the dealer, 56% was all they could do. At the end of the day, 4k down and approx 1150/month were the final numbers after taxes and fees.

I hope that helps someone. IMHO leasing can be significantly more complicated than purchasing, and before this car I had no idea how rates were calculated. Will post some pics when I get the car sometime next week (hopefully!!)

Thank you. Can't wait till it gets here. The car is coming from somewhere in the "central US". The dealership is so paranoid they won't tell me exactly from where, even though contract has been signed and down payment made. Go figure.

Telecop, it only has 21K. Basically driven to work and back, no long trips. Dealer maintained, all factory. I loved the car and was actually sad to turn it in. This was my first convertible, and I realized I am not really into putting the top down. Really only had the top down a handful of times in the last 3 years. The residual on it is 58k, and I know the dealer is anxious to sell. If you are interested, I can connect you with my sales guy, I am sure he would be more than happy to work something out.
