water pump for N20 engine
--So is the water pump impeller for the n20 engine metal or composite? Just wondering. Thanks!

nope, we just bought an X3 2.8i and were curious as a Volkswagen fan claimed that bmw uses the same plastic parts that their cars do.

No, your oil pan is plastic, but your water pump, while electronically driven is free of plastic. I am pretty sure the last gen with plastic in the water pumps was e36? Can someone confirm?

E46...fun with cooling systems.
I know my n52 cooking system is a hellava lot more robust than the m54 (103k miles no issues)...I would expect the same out if the n20. Last edited by x3brian; 11-29-2012 at 10:27 PM. |
