trans oil OEM is red, no no it's transparent. BMW dealers said :u choose!!!

I called BMW dealer here in Lebanon for OEM oil transmission. They wanted to know if the one within my GM tranny is of red or white(transparent) color. According to my VIN it is red in their tables, but it seems that there are 2 adopted oil types by BMW. The old one is red & the new one is white. I just wanted to light up a little more on the debate about the OEM obscure oil type they adopt. Called them up,because I need half a liter to be added to the heat exchanger upon replacement intended tomorrow. Anyone have a comment? or added value information?
