valve cober gasket

Is it possible that a messed up valve cover gasket can cause a missfire

Yes, a leaking valve cover gasket will make your BMW run rough and misfire.

I was told by a BMW tech that a leaky valve cover gasket, especially if the oil leaks on the exhaust camshaft position sensor, can cause misfire and start up problems.
