Engine Bay Wiring Help Pleez

Hai gaiz. Unfortunately I didn't see where these two wires went when we were (wow 5 words starting with w in a row!) dissembling the engine bay. TIA!

On the drivers side I have this pair of wires with a rubber cover, don't have much slack.



On the pax side I have the ground strap and can't see an obvious place for it to attach.

Hard to see/tell Chad. The top almost looks like starter wires. Are they all hooked up?


If the other one is a ground strap, where is connected, the engine mount? It shouldn't really matter where it goes per say, I think mine may be on the engine block?? Not really positive at the moment though.

1st pic looks like the alternator or starter power wire


2nd pic bolts up near the engine mount from the bottom

I could be mistaken but aren't first pic alternator wires?

The ground strap is currently connected to the spot on the engine mount arm, where does it mount on the body?

since we have already established the first pic were alt wires, the last pic are ground wires, we just need to verify the location of the mounting.

look around the motor mount. iirc, the strap connects the motor mount bracket to the chassis...

Sweet, thanks guys. Found the ground strap after crawling around under there some more. It's a long enough strap I thought it would be visible from the top, didn't think it would be under there.

charcoal canister

I thought charcoal canister was under the spare tire. Fudge, I just checked the emissions label and it is there, but I don't see it anywhere in the garage. Guess I'm not getting smogged today after all

Not yet, this and the alternator is basically the last thing before I throw the air box and belts on and turn the key.
