Trim Option: EB II, Red Leather

Hey fellas,

I am confused between what trim I should go for: EB II exterior with Red Leather Dakota.

The trim options are Burl Walnut or Aluminium Hexagon.

I am not able to come across pictures with similar EBII+Red Leather to see how each will look. This color combination is impossible to find at a dealership.. I am working with an excellent CA and he might flip when I change my choice this time... but I will take the brunt..

Please help me soon... want to close the deal today... Thanks!

I'm anti-wood trim. I sat in a car with coral red + aluminum hexagon and liked it, although I liked the brushes aluminum from the sport line better.

As long as one avoids driving near kryptonite with that combo, they should be fine.

Actually, I love the EB and love the Coral Red, but not sure how well the two would go together or if I would tire of the combo after some time.

I went through the effort of swapping trim with another member. The burl is only right in certain color combos.

Blue and red are the colors of the University of AZ - the local dealer has a EB car with Coral interior (135 series) they call the Wildcat car. It has the black trim. It looks very nice to me, but I am biased (I am getting the wood trim on my car)

I just came across this thread - this morning.... i like the aluminium trim... although the red leather is not the actual shade of red as will be seen with the naked eye.. I have a friend who has the red leather and it looks amazing - just like the color visible in bmwusa configurator.

True. I also have coral red, and it looks much darker than in pictures IMO.

Blue for exterior is beautiful. Red for interior took some time to get used to, but I love it. The combination of both looks so out of whack to me.

I am the conservative type. I like dark burl wood trim on a terra cota interior.

But going with a F30, I think that would go red interior, brushed aluminium with silver exterior. Gorgeous. Funny that silver is now so rare - it was so common with the E46 and 2006 E90.

Either choice will look very good, aluminum for a more sporty look or wood for a dressier look. Even though the M Sport is by definition the relatively sporty choice, a dressy look works with it, too.

IMO, wood trim with the red leather is hideous. But I don't like wood trim period, so I'm not an unbiased contributor here.
