Z4 battery

Happy holidays. Getting ready to start the new year off with a battery problem. Guess its time to buy a new one. Any help on which one to buy would be greatly appreciated. 2004 z4 2.5

Just check your model and try the local auto parts store. O'Reilly had a good deal on mine which saved me some bucks. I would say to stay away from the dealer unless yours has smokin' deals running.

measure your battery before going to Autozone. Several different sizes are used in the Z4. I had to go back and get a different one because the first one was not wide enough.

They had two different size batteries listed.

Been checking online. Anybody use the battery from walmart? I believe its an h6?

I used an H6 from Autozone for mine.

Was this a DIY switchout? How hard can it be? I'm due for one now, too. Mine is stock original from 2003!

DuraMAXX H6 from WalMart. Perfect fit, low price ($100), highly rated by Consumer Reports. I believe it is number 16 in the battery rack at WalMart, but don't recall for sure.
In addition, you will have an unforgetable experience just people watching.

I can't believe there would be any significant difference no matter where you get the battery. Just make sure it is the correct size and has a comparable/better CCA rating.
