BMW connected drive for Canada?

I was stumbling around and found this link...

It appears that BMW connected drive is available in Canada based on the text at the bottom of the page that shows sail ale In Canada. I was wondering if anyone knew if this service can be added to the 2012 cars, without hardware changes?

I will have to call BMW and see what they say in the mean time but they were closed today. Often I find that when you ask the service reps these questions, they don't know if its available because they were not told and you have to fumble around for months to find someone who says it may not be possible...

I was wondering if anyone has gone through that work already to learn if it was or not possible to add it? Or if this weblike was only referring to 2013 models?

I guess I should specify its the google local search capabilities within this group of services that I was hoping to have activated.
