Help with changing left upper control arm.

Can some one give me a quick tutorial on how to change out the front upper left control arm. What tools should I have and a step by step on how to do it. 2002 bmw 745i. New owner. Bought with issues.

Upper arm? you mean the thrust arm? You need to take the plastic pieces off, and then take the brake ducts out that cool the brakes.. then it's pretty easy.. the lower arms are actually easier.. those you just drop the ball joint and bolt/nut for frame and replace..

That works too, but you only need TIS for this.

How hard is it to operate the cable/ programs?

It takes a little time to setup the software and use it. Not hard if you are technically inclined.

Where can I find a repair manual for this car ?

There is no 'repair' manual for this car. It's called TIS, and you can get the suite on eBay.

I purchased TIS last week from eBay and still learning how to use and where things are. It's pretty good, well worth the $10, but I only found the lower control arm instructions , not the upper.

If anyone has found it, please share the path in TIS so I can better understand how to navigate

TIS should have everything - make sure you are navigating it properly. Personally I wouldn't touch this car without TIS.

As I said, still getting used to navigating through this, but if you can tell me where you found the upper control arm, that would help a lot. Everyone has praised TIS, and I'd love to be able to get the most out of it.
