Mysterious Oil leak Passenger side PICS

Trying to track down this passenger side oil leak and having a bit of trouble figuring out where it comes from. Have taken both valve covers and upper timing covers off. She's been like this for a month and I still see oil leaking and collecting at two points. Bottom of the Compressor and at the engine mount. Both Passenger side. My only thought is the lower timing cover, but before I yank off the water pump and go down that road I'd really like any input. Cheers M

I have the same damn oil leak on mine. I was assuming it was the timing cover or chain tensioner. The metal o-ring might be the issue.

Thats why I pulled everything off. The Upper Timing Covers and the Valve Covers. But the oil level is way below the upper timing cover. The lower is the only thing I can come up with as being the source. Have the leak on the others side as well. That is either the alternater bracket gasket that mates to the block or also the lower timing cover as well. Just really hate taking that water pump off.

It accumulates in the corners at the bottom. Timing covers are VERY tricky to put on right, dealers use a special shim to install them.

Your thinking of the valve shims right? Not touching my valves. Everything I'm seeing on the Upper timing covers is grooved on the edges to accept new gaskets. With a little RTV added at the corners. I heard care must be taken to remove the lower cover lest you rip the bottom edge of the upper oil pan gasket. If ripped you've got to jack the engine up and loosen the steering box. So I won't be ripping that gasket you can be dang certain of that.

I ripped mine bought a new gasket and just cut the part that ripped and used RTV. No leaks. Upper timing covers are just weird putting in because its not just set it and tighten, dealers use a special tool for it.
