Howdy all..
I went to Miami with my friend to an auto auction. I swear I didnt go there thinking I was going to get anything but I came across this beauty, a darker yellow. Well it had little front damage. I knew it would be a challenge. I bought a 325is for parts. I've been working very hard lately, no time to put in the project. Thinking of putting the cars up for sale what do you guys think should fix it first or sell as is.

Fix it first.

Most of it looks good. If you need cash and don't have time to fix it, then sell it.

6 or 7k restored, though...

4-5K restored if you're lucky with a salvage title......

Yes they did lose their value, e36's are a dime a dozen it seems sometimes.... even the neglected/salvaged m3's

You'd probably make more parting it out. What year, how many miles, and interior color?

Factory LTW wheels are nice, easy sale... even easier when wheels are in great shape. Spoiler is not factory, probably added on by dealer or previous owner.

Fix it. She's a good lookin car. E36 M3s are around 8k for a pristine, sometimes tastefully modded, low mileage example. 5-6k gets you a high mileage, but rust free and maintained example. Anything less has a salvage title or has been beat to hell/not properly cared for.

Keep in mind these cars are entering their second decade in age. You can get an E46 M3 for around 10k now, though it wouldn't be pristine by any measure. If the rest of the car is in good shape, and has desirable options (as it seems to have), I'd fix it. Dakar is hard to find the way it is, much less with factory LTWs

That driver side frame rail looks pretty mangled. You may be able to straighten that rail to the point where you can attach the bumper reinforcement in the correct position, but that rail will never be as strong. Plus the damage to the rail will be visible from the engine bay.

Also that single stage paint will be pretty tough to match.

Looks like all you need is the M bumper and under-paneling to get this going. Good luck!

Yeah, the color labeled is on the driver side shock tower; DAKARGELB. There were only 749 manual transmission 1995 M3s made in this color out of the 8515 produced. I've subscribed and hope to read up on your progress, good luck with the repair!
