Tell Me it Isn't So!

Just back here for the first time in several years. I have a 2008 535xi sports wagon and am thinking of buying a 2013, but much to my chagrin it is no longer imported. There is something called a Toursimo , but no wagon. I think I know the answer but here goes. Is there any way to do a European delivery? Yeah yeah I know, not US configured so not allowed. I am really puzzled by this. Almost every other car you see on the road in Europe is a wagon. They are very sporty and practical at the same time.
After 25 years of BMWs I guess it is time to move on.

BMW is chasing a much larger demographic that the enthusiasts that built their reputation in the USA. You and I would love to buy a sporty touring/wagon, but there are hundreds of customers who lemming-like want SUVs.

With a level playing field, e.g., if all the exempt categories of vehicles like SUVs and vans and pickups, etc., were subject to the same fuel economy pressures (guzzler taxes etc.) as cars, we'd have fewer of those and more cars, including wagons.

There have been comments within the past few years that there were those within BMW who regretted pulling the 5er touring out of the US market. Maybe if we close our eyes very tightly and wish really, really hard they'll sell a 5er wagon in addition to SUVs and the SUVish 5 GT...

I'd like a 535dT wagon with M sport package... I've written multiple letters to Santa and my fairy godmother on this subject; nothing back yet...
