Hissing/Crackling sudden Left Front door noise out of speaker. Any help apreciated!

Yesterday I unlocked the car and oppened the door and just when I got in My 05 745Li, it almost shocked me, I got this loud hissing/cracling noise couming out of my left front door speakers, not sure which one, the one by the mirror or by the door handle, but it's loud and very annoying. The car nor the stereo was even on. It does not happen all the time but since it happend the first time it's a bit more frequent now, and Nothing I do works to stop it, radio on/off, even when I completely shut off the car the noise is still happening. any input on this one will be much appreciated. I read some posts and it does not sound like the problem is in the speakers... Thanks a lot for any help.

Try reseting your fibre optic loop in the glove box.
If that don't work you need a new Ask unit

In the glove box were you open the panel
To the fuses there is a lollipop fibre optic
Loop. unplug it then put the key in the slot
& hit start , but don't push the brake or
Actually start the car . Then take key out
Put lollipop back in , wait 15 to 20 minutes
for car to reset & then start . if that don't
Work then you need a new Ask unit .

The speaker itself being bad is out of the question?

I've been getting the same thing for a while. I noticed when the car is running and I put my foot on the brake it goes away. Also if I turn up the volume for 5 mins it goes away.

So I developed another popping and cracking and this time the system would just shut off and I had no control of my I drive. I searched and found an old post That said if ghost codes and multiple errors are stored in the unit it will cause cracking popping and unusual things. So I set up INpa on my laptop and clear all codes and errors. No more Problems
