2005 545i - What could be the cause of my car jerking while I'm driving?

What could be the cause of my car jerking while I'm driving? It does this all throughout the day as I'm driving. It's a 2005 545i.

This could be caused by bad gasoline or moisture in your fuel. You have not indicated how long this has been happening or where you live so it is difficult to say for sure.

May also consider old ignition leads need replacing. Open hood in total dark and look for coronas or sparks jumping from leads?
