Metric wheels

What rims were stock for 1987 L6?
I am parting out this car, which was purchased 12 years ago, I replaced the metric wheels shortly after the purchase, assuming the wheels were original.
I just noticed that the wheels are 165TR390CH, BMW e22.
I would appreciate some education. Thanks.

Original wheels were metric, and the size you posted are metric also

Thanks. I was confused that the rims are e22, and trying to confirm if these were the stock rims on an e24 model.

E 22 is the offset of the wheel. I don't know what offset the originals were, but all of us putting on new wheels 16" and bigger are at minimum, looking for no more than 20 offset
