No clutch peddle
Car won't go into gear when started but it will drive if I start it in gear but when I do this I can't Change gear any ideas

How about brakes?
Brakes and clutch share fluids, so if there's something wrong with that brakes should feel it also.

Probably a hydraulic problem. Bleed the clutch slave cylinder and see if it improves anything.
