Selling 08 M3 to Carmax - thoughts wanted

This^^^^^all day long.......there's more of a audience and you might get your asking price. A semi-stripped car has a market......they're called track rats ............Phil

I don't know much about the M3 post forum but I don't think I'll get more than $37k consdering it's an 08 and semi bare bones on options. I think I should just take it rather than wait sinice I never drive the M3 but once a week to work and back, sadly. It just doesn't get much drive.

Link to car? Carmax is just going to turn around and push it back out there for $39k (or more) anyway, can you just wait another month or so for a buyer? Also, cross posting the cars.com ad on Craigslist seems to get decent results these days too.

Be forewarned...if you decide not to sell the car to Carmax within the next 7 days and later you decide to try again with them, they'll suddenly reappraise it at a lower value. The excuse: "market conditions".

Otherwise, selling a car to them is really easy and hassle-free.

I will definitely decide within 7 days.

That is a gorgeous car and what I will replace my E46 with someday.

I would add if you are the original or second owner etc as well as what type of new tires are on it.....also if/what type of tint is on it and embed the letters "DCT" in the description and "Automanual" as the transmission in case someone is searching for it. Also a pic of the original sticker is nice too.

Thanks! I really appreciate the comments. Sadly, I just don't drive it enough and since I've had five Bimmer's I'm looking for a more practical SUV I can drive full time....for now anyway...

That must be +50% retained value of purchase price after 5 years, pretty darn good if you ask me.
