X5 2002 No sound on TV/AV input

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has had this problem or could possibly help me. I have a 2002 X5 with TV although now everything being digital has no signal, So i decided to connect my ipod into the AV input on center console. Then when i choose AV In TV mode i got the picture through but no sound? When i bought the car last year the TV worked (Pre Digital days) But never had sound working. everything else is fine! I have sat nav audio, radio, even an ipod cable that runs from the cd changer works. But no sound with TV. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Justin

Thanks for replying!

I have been do a bit of poking around and Reading from the web and I think what has happened is when the previous owner had a bluetooth parrot fitted they used the TV audio input for the parrot/mobile phone audio out. I will confirm/or not, When it's stops snowing and i can pull the boot apart to find out. Im hoping it's not the amp like you say... But out of interest How much was a replacement amp?
