Cigarette lighters don't work

I'm posting this again. My cigarette lighters don't work on my 2006 X5. The fuse is fine. Any suggestions? I really need them to charge my phone.
Thank you -

Did you look for or try the 12v socket that is below/behind the glovebox?

And you can also pick up this accessory from a local BMW dealer and/or online (ebay, Amazon.com, forum supporting vendors, etc)...it plugs into the flashlight socket in the glovebox:

Unfortunately the glove box flashlight adapters have recently been discontinued by BMW. Have you also checked to make sure that power is getting to the fuse itself? According to the Bentley manual the front and rear sockets use different fuses but I assume you're looking to use the front one. If you have power at the fuse check to see if you have power at the lighter. If you have power at the lighter and it doesn't work you could have a ground problem. The ground point for this shows under the passenger seat somewhere.

Did you look at the fuse index & diagram in your glovebox ( and rear cargo area)?

If your front fuse does not work you can try using the one behind the centre arm rest until you sort the other one out, am interested in knowing where the fuse is though

There's another cigarette lighter plug in the glove box on the left hand side or is that underneath the glove box, I noticed mine yesterday but I tried my phone charger in mine but it didn't work so try yours and I hope it works
