That is bmw's icon for calender. It only appears when you have the calender date showing on the OBC screen in the instrument cluster.

There is nothing to reset. That icon is always there when the date is displayed. That is normal. If you dont want the date displayed, push the button on the end of your turn signal stalk to change the display to some other info

This just came on though. For the first 9 months it wasn't there.

Sure it was. You may not have been on the right screen to see it, but it was there. Push the button on the end of the turn signal stalk multiple times and you'll cycle through all of the screens.

They are talking about the "1" showing up next to the calendar and date not being there previously, not the actual date and calendar themselves.

No. Just what gfeiner said earlier. This is only an "icon" that tells you the time/date is up on the OBC. It doesn't mean you have a message, it doesn't mean you have a calendar warning, it doesn't show up conditionally based on something else. It shows up when you cycle through the displayed information by pushing the button on end of the turn signal stalk.

I would love to see an image of the date screen without the "1" in it. I contest that it has always been there from the first day that we all picked up our X3s. Anyone?

Ditto. Show me a pic of the OBC showing the date without that icon being there.

Guys...it's normal. The same icon with "1" is displayed in my X3 and my friend's X3. Dealer confirmed it's normal too.
