Place to install this detector?

Hi ppl. Here;s what. I have this radar detector, which I havent yet used on the 3. The detector is this:

OK ok I know UNIDEN has discontinued its detectors manufacturing,(dont start now....) but what is the ideal position for "ultimate detection"?

Also, anyone else with this detector, and what do you think of it??????

Cool photo. I have heard though, that laser detection is best when you install the detector as low as possible. (say on the cocpit)

And cops here use mainly laser on highways....

With laser, they usually look for the flattest vertical target available, i.e., your license plate mount....so, somewhere in the grille area would probably be best for a laser detector.

That's assuming you want to detect *your* car getting targeted. With laser, if you've been targeted, it's already too late.

Mounting it high maximises the chance of you picking up some ricocheting beams from someone else's car getting targeted... and you're therefore more likely to detect the bogeyman *before* he zaps you.
